I would like to offer a letter of Support for KAN-Do Training & Development company which is run by Mr Tony Fitzpatrick. At present Careers Scotland is part of Scottish Enterprise and is currently in the process of becoming part of a new organisation from April 2008 which will be known as “Skill Development Scotland Limited” which will be a partnership of Careers Scotland, LearnDirect and “Skills and Leaming” department of Scottish Enterprise.

The overall aim of our organisation is to support people of all ages, throughout their lives to develop skills and maximise their career potential. Careers Scotland has worked in partnership with KAN-Do on a number of projects including the highly successful programme “Support Employment” which is run at Celtic, Rangers and St Mirren football clubs. This project is a I0 week employability programme aimed at helping disadvantaged NEET young people and unemployed adults return to the labour market. KAN-DO assist in delivering soft and core skills as part of this programme.

Over and above this Tony is involved in projects in the East end of Glasgow working with young people in partnership with Careers Scotland. Tony in his role of working for KAN-Do is regarded as trustworthy and respectable, he has excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, IT literate, good team player, diligent, able to work alone, flexible, able to prioritise and work to deadlines. I would regard Tony and KAN-DO as an asset to any project and /or organisation
